We first met Verletta while she was working in her front yard. After pulling weeds with her for an hour, James arranged to come back with more help to get her roses under control, and also asked to inspect her roof which he could see was in rough shape.
Upon inspection, James discovered that the roof was already 28 years old, but due to a lack of regular maintenance and some key errors and oversights on the part of the previous installer, the integrity of the roof was completely compromised. It had multiple leaks, many of which were discovered initially but some found upon inspection of the plywood during tear-off. The shingles were completely degraded and had lost 65% of the granules. The roof also have moss accumulation and visible blue-green algae.
The state of the roof notwithstanding, Verletta’s biggest challenge was that she was on a fixed income and didn’t know how she could pull together the money to afford a new roof. Treeline Roofworks Owner, James, was able to help Verletta get qualified for financing, and designed a roof system that she could afford and that James felt good about putting on her home so that it would stand up to time and the PNW weather elements.
